Let me be brutally honest, Iām not a Google employee.
I donāt meditate on Matt Cutts. And I have never whispered sweet nothings to Googlebot. But I got 49,000+ website visitors completely free using the People Also Ask strategy.
And no, this isnāt one of those attractive jokes.
Let’s know more about it.
What Is People Also Ask?
People Also Ask (PAA) is a feature on Googleās search results page.

It shows users additional, related questions based on their search query. Each question expands to reveal a short answer (usually pulled from a website), followed by a link to the full page.
In other words, it is like Googleās way of saying, hereās what you wanted to know and oh, by the way, here are a few more rabbit holes that you can fall into.
And for us humble website owners?
It is pure gold.
Because if your content provides solid and meaningful answers to these additional questions, you can easily appear on the first page multiple times for your content without any obstacles.
My Online Tool Website Story
Quick backstory:
I run an online tool website.
My website includes simple online tools and 80+ helpful blog posts designed not just for humans, but for Googleās robots too. And most blog posts are based on comparison keywords.
And guess what?
The real magic happened when I realized how to optimize for PAA.
How I Optimized For People Also Ask Feature
Just 2 core steps I followed to optimize for the People Also Ask box:
1. I Used PAA Questions in My Subheaders
Instead of pulling blog ideas from my brain like a magician pulling scarves from a hat, I let Google do the heavy lifting. Iād search through the PAA box to see what real people were asking.
Then Iād use those questions as section headers in my blog post.
Clean, simple, effective.
Letās say the main keyword is āhow to convert TXT to CSV”.
PAA might show questions like:
- Can I convert TXT to CSV without Excel?
- Whatās the difference between TXT and CSV?
- Is CSV better than TXT for data?
Boom, those become my H2s or H3s.
Itās like giving Google a cheat sheet to understand my articleās structure.
2. I Gave Quick, Dictionary-Style Answers
PAA answers are short, sweet, and punchy.
So right after each subheading, I wrote a direct answer in plain English.
Think of it like this:
H2: Whatās the difference between TXT and CSV?
Answer: A TXT file is a plain text document, while a CSV file stores tabular data in a comma-separated format. CSVs are commonly used for spreadsheets and databases.
Thatās it.
Extra SEO Tricks I Used From iGrowthful Strategies
While PAA optimization was the centerpiece of my strategy, I didnāt stop there.
I also grabbed a few ninja-level tricks from the iGrowthful Strategies Bundle, like seasoning your dish with secret spices grandma swore never to reveal.

Hereās what I added to the mix:
1. Internal Linking That Makes Google Drool
I linked between my blog posts and tool pages like I was building the worldās most useful spider web. If a post mentioned another topic, I had content on, a hyperlink.
It helps Google crawl my site more efficiently.
2. Long-Tail Keywords That Sound Ridiculously Specific
Instead of targeting āCSV converter,ā Iād go after phrases like:
- How to convert txt to csv without software?
- Free online tool to convert txt file to csv format.
These keywords may get fewer searches individually, but together they bring in consistent, low-competition traffic, aka my favorite kind.
3. Mobile Optimization
Over 60% of my traffic comes from mobile.
So, everything on my site works perfectly on the phone. If your āclick hereā button is so small it needs a magnifying glass, fix it now.
Why People Also Ask Is The Underrated
Letās get real,
Most people chase after position #1 on Google like itās the last slice of pizza at a party. But while theyāre fighting over that one slice.
People Also Ask are handing out extra slices left and right.
By targeting PAA:
- You rank for multiple long-tail questions
- You get featured in Googleās own recommendation box
- You increase your authority and relevance on a topic
And most importantly, you pull in traffic that your competitors didnāt even think of targeting.
Final Thoughts
People Also Ask box isnāt just a cute Google feature.
Itās a visibility jackpot, waiting to be claimed.
I used it to get 49,000+ visitors and 105,000+ impressions.
Here’s the data from the Search Console:

No ads. No backlinks marathons. No guru courses.
Just smart formatting, great answers, and the willingness to write like a human with a little humor. So, the next time you see a People Also Ask box, donāt ignore it.
Use it.
And ride that SEO wave to visitor heaven.
